Randy’s impact reached far beyond the walls he built.
Randy Thomas wasn’t just the man behind a toolbelt — he was the heart behind every wall he built, every roof he patched, and every person he quietly helped along the way.
During the last decade of his life, Randy owned and operated Renovation Randy, LLC, where he specialized in home renovations and construction projects throughout the community. But it wasn’t just about business — for Randy, it was always personal. He donated his time, labor, and love to clients who couldn’t afford what they needed, often refusing payment entirely if he knew someone was struggling.
He played a huge role in the renovations at Kathy’s 126 — now transitioning into Madison’s on Main — helping turn a dream into a place where the community could gather and feel at home.
A Father. A Husband. A Rascal With a Heart of Gold.
He was a fiercely loving father, husband, son, uncle, and friend — not just to us, but to almost everyone who crossed his path. Whether he was teasing someone at the Home Depot paint counter or slipping donuts to the same employees every Sunday morning, Randy had a way of making people feel seen, and usually laughed at (in the best way).
He wasn’t perfect — he wouldn’t want us to paint him that way. But he had a heart bigger than his toolbox and a gift for making everyone feel like family.
A Legacy Too Good to Let Go
We lost Randy suddenly and far too soon, in November of 2023. That kind of loss leaves a hole that can’t be patched — but it also leaves a legacy too big to be buried.
The Renovation Randy Foundation exists to carry that legacy forward — helping people in need with the same spirit of generosity and community Randy lived by.
This work, this mission, this love — it’s all for him.
